Viktor Axelsen triumphs both on - and off the court: New databased analysis concludes huge sponsorship value

On Sunday afternoon, Viktor Axelsen put another dent in his unique position in the world elite when he beat Indonesian Ginting at the HSBC BWF Tour Finals in Bangkok.

2022 therefore saw 54 matches played, with Viktor Axelsen emerging victorious in 51 of them. He is thus sending a clear signal to the outside world that he is one step ahead and hungry for more.

It's not just in sport that Viktor Axelsen performs at the very highest level. He also shines on the commercial stage, concludes new analysis from Above Sports.

Viktor Axelsen's sponsorship value is estimated to be more than 30 times higher on a global level compared to Denmark - and thus equivalent to a large three-digit million sum.

The estimate is even considered to be conservative because the perceived value - the so-called intangibles - is not included.

"Both Viktor and his team now have a completely different basis for valuing and optimising their sponsorship partnerships. I must also admit that we were pleasantly surprised when our analytics department presented us with the big numbers that reflect his commercial value", says Thomas Badura, founder of Above Sport.
